GKK Initial Workplace Validation at YL Fishing Corporation

The Regional GKK Secretariat composed of Ms. Espinosa, OSHC; Mr. Go, ECC; and Ms. Joaquin, DOLE LLCO, conducted an initial workplace evaluation at YL Fishing on 3 February 2016. The on-site validation activities include presentation of company OSH programs, open forum/ discussion with validators and concerned company personnel, walkthrough of the company premises and validation with the community.

YL Fishing has safety and health policies in place and can still be strengthened. At the time of initial validation, their safety practitioner has resigned, leaving them with 2 part-time safety officers.
