GKK Initial Workplace Validation at Petron Corporation Zamboanga Depot

The Regional GKK Secretariat composed of Ms. Espinosa, OSHC; Mr. Go, ECC; and Ms. Joaquin, DOLE LLCO, conducted an initial workplace evaluation at Petron Zamboanga Depot on 10 February 2016. The on-site validation activities include presentation of company OSH programs, open forum/ discussion with validators and concerned company personnel, walkthrough of the company premises and validation with the community.

Petron depot has been implementing Zero Accident Program in the workplace and is deemed effective in its implementation. They have a waste-management system, greening in the workplace and have been active and all-out in their CSR activities. They were recognized as “Best Depot” by Petron Corporation last 2015 and their Depot Superintendent has been awarded “Safety Man of the Year 2015” for ensuring Zamboanga Depot Accident-Free.
