OSH Orientation – LMC Convergence of Programs

Through the effort of the NCMB 2 on the LMC convergence programs, they have scheduled an orientation for the management and employees of the Cagayan Electric Cooperative II at Aparri, Cagayan.

Programs presented are Family Welfare Program, Productivity Improvement Program, Labor Management Cooperation and Grievance Machinery Employees Compensation program and Occupational Safety and Health.

OSHC was introduced to the participants since most of them have a limited knowledge about the agency. Topics discussed are Accident causation, control measures of preventing work related accidents and diseases, and the role of management and employees in the effective implementation of OSH. Management and employees must have a collaborative effort for a successful OSH programs in the workplace.

Ms. Blandina Madamba, OIC of Aparri Office said that one of their goals is to achieve the Secretary’s Award. The award constitutes different certification from DOLE and and its attached agencies which includes the Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan from OSHC. She said that they will work to their best to get the award with the support of DOLE.
