Planning Workshop on TB Advocacy in the Business Communities

Melveen Melocoton, Admin Officer of OSHC-REU6, represented the Center during the DOH-RO6 activity attended by a total of ( 40) participants and (18) organizations with the main objective to formulate an action plan for the implementation of the TB Program in the workplace and active involvement of businesses for the fight against TB.

During the workshop, companies with no current TB policy were assisted in how to make a comprehensive policy through the utilization of DOLE Department Order No. 73-05, “Guidelines for the Implementation of Policies and Programs on Tuberculosis Prevention and Control in the Workplace.” While those with standing policies on TB were presented and assessed its challenges and good points.
