Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training
In coordination with DOLE Regional Office IX and COSHEMAP, Inc. Construction Safety & Health Training (COSH) was conducted in Zamboanga City on December 5-9, 2016.
One of the core programs and services of OSHC is advocacy through learning sessions and trainings as mandated to prevent workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
Department Order No. 13 signed in 1998 mandates the OSH requirements for the Construction Industry. Site safety officers play key roles in the implementation of effective OSH programs at the work sites and they are the primary targets of this 40-hours (5 Days) training.
During the training, OSHC REU 9 assisted and monitored the flow of activities ensuring topics are covered and well-delivered.
OSHC REU 9 Focal Ms. Ma. Joy Reneeli Espinosa also acted as resource speaker on Occupational Health on the 3rd day of training.
