Engr. Jaguit of OSHC REU Caraga conducted OSH Orientation to NRCO’s Small Business Livelihood Program for OFW’s last February 23, 2017 held at PESO, Agusan del Sur Office. The said activity was attended by 60 displaced OFW’s who have not finished their contract abroad and decided to start a small business thru NRCO livelihood program.

The Free Occupational Safety and Health Orientation aims to enable participants to appreciate the concepts of a safe and healthy workplace. Participants will also acquire the general perspective on occupational safety and health and identified responses or control measures to prevent workplace hazards.

This is part of the mandate of OSHC from the directive of OSHC executive director Noel C. Binag to protect workers through the preventive approach of reducing/eliminating occupational accidents and illnesses and to promote workers' welfare through the effective implementation of OSH programs that will enhance productivity and subsequently contribute to national economic development efforts.
