World Day for Safety and Health 2017

This year’s World Day for Safety and Health carries the theme “Optimize the Collection and Use of OSH Data” which focuses on the critical need for countries around the world to strengthen their data collection strategies and effectively utilize such information. OSH data such as number of work-related accidents and illnesses, common occupational injuries and diseases and their causes are valuable in crafting industry specific OSH policies, programs, and codes of good practice.

OSHC Region 10 along with the Department of Labor and Employment RO 10 and the different Safety Training Organization graced the event starting with a motorcade and a short program which focuses on World Day for Safety and Health organized and headed by OSHC REU 10 and DOLE RO 10.
