Labor Day Activity

Cagayan de Oro City – The Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. X (DOLE-X), facilitated the hiring - on the spot (HOTS) of 359 job applicants during the 115th Labor Day Mega Job Fair on 1 May 2017 at the Limketkai Atrium, this city. 314 were hired for local employment and 45 for overseas.

As the main event for this year’s Labor Day celebration, many applicants came from the nearby provinces of the city to register early in the morning through manual and online, courtesy of STICDO’s provision of computer sets and e-learning bus which was situated just outside the North Concourse entrance of Limketkai Mall. PLDT-Smart, likewise, was the internet service provider during the whole-day event.

This year’s month-long Labor Day celebration in the region is anchored on the theme, “Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho, Tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago.”
