Training on Basic Laboratory Safety Measures and Hazards

The Department of Agriculture Regional Office No.5 conducted Training on Basic Laboratory Safety Measures and Hazards. The activity aims to develop a culture of health and safety for its employees. The activity was attended by various laboratories handling chemicals, pesticides, botanical, microbiological, animal diseases, test animals, and different laboratory equipment/apparatus according to their unique protocols.

Mr. Andayog coordinated with the agency and identified topics to be included in the course. Mr. Pasano discussed the elements needed in the successful implementation of OSH program; compliance to legislation, and the utilization of company resources needed to develop and implement an OSH program.
