2016 DOLE Women's Month Celebration, Gender Sensitivity Training and Turnover Ceremony

Mr. Andayog attended the 2016 DOLE Women's Month Celebration, Gender Sensitivity Training and Turnover Ceremony held on 28-29 March 2016 at Costa Palmera, Sto. Domingo, Albay.

The activity highlighted women’s achievements and discussed continuing and emerging women’s empowerment and gender equality issues and concerns, challenges, and commitments.

Republic Act 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) promotes the full participation and equitable representation of women in all spheres of society particularly in the decision-making and policy-making processes in government and private entities, in order to fully realize their role as agents and beneficiaries of development.

Outgoing Regional Director Lacambra returns the symbolic key of “power” and “responsibility” to Regional Director Trayvilla during the turn-over ceremony at the Costa Palmera, Sto. Domingo, Albay. OSHC and other RCC members came to witness the ceremony showing their utmost support in the delivery of the mandate of DOLE.
