OSH Orientation during the Industry Tripartite Council Formation for Bakery and Pawnshop Industries

Some 44 participants from 39 companies benefitted from the Occupational Safety and Health Orientation conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Center Regional Extension Unit (OSHC REU) 5 during the Industry Tripartite Council Formation for Bakery and Pawnshop Industries on May 11, 2016. Mr. Mark James Andayog of OSHC REU 5 discussed the occupational risks and hazards, establishing an occupational safety and health committee, developing an accident prevention program, conduct of OSH trainings for staff. Mr. Andayog stressed that employee involvement, strong leadership and commitment from all levels of management are essential for the improvement of the workplace safety culture.
