Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training
The Bicol Occupational Safety and Health Network, Inc. (Bicol OSHNet), in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office 5 and the Occupational Safety and Health Center, conducted a 40-Hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health Training Course on May 16-20, 2016 at Kanzo Hall and Restaurant, Legazpi City.
A total of 88 participants (66 males, 22 females) composed of potential safety officers, representatives from LGUs, DPWH and other government agencies.
Mr. Andayog monitored the conduct of training in terms of facility arrangements, training delivery and conduct of resource speakers, facilitator/s and secretariat support. The objectives of the training program were attained and have been presented in an orderly progression.
The venue has a flexible room layout suitable for lectures, games and activities. It has good room lighting, good acoustics and sound proofing. Participants received appropriate provision of refreshments and lunch.
Mr. Andayog discussed the Importance of Safety and Health to orient the participants on the current OSH situation both at the local and international levels and the magnitude of the problems and issues associated with OSH conditions.
