National Tuberculosis Control Program-Regional Coordinating Committee (NTP-RCC) Meeting

Mr. Andayog attended the National Tuberculosis Control Program-Regional Coordinating Committee (NTP-RCC) Meeting on 10 August 2016 at DOH, Legazpi City. National NTP RCC encourages government agencies in Bicol to give priority attention to tuberculosis by initiating a major TB control effort. Procedures on recording and reporting system of TB cases that allows assessment of case finding and treatment outcomes should be in place. Advocacy, social mobilization and communication activities are being done, however, participation in TB control is still limited and support and ownership of TB control program is variable especially among government agencies.

NTP RCC proposed that member agencies should implement their own programs such as establishment of clinic/treatment room, recording and monitoring of illnesses of employees (TB infected/suspected cases).
