Training on “Ergonomics in the Workplace”

A two-day seminar on Training on “Ergonomics in the Workplace” was organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Center and was held last 16-17 August 2016 at Casablanca Hotel, Peñaranda St, Legazpi City, Albay.
Interested in the topic, seventy four (74) participants attended the activity exceeding the expected number of participants. Employers, human resource officers, workers' representative/s, and members of the Safety and Health Committee were able learn the principles of applied ergonomics in the workplace in order to remove/minimize risk factors that lead to musculoskeletal injuries and allows for improved human performance and productivity.
The OSHC team was composed of Dr. Maria Beatriz G. Villanueva, Dr. Reynold M. Sta. Ana, Engr. Christine Marie L. Pangindian, Mr. Rhyan Keith D. Melgarejo, Ms. Jasmin D.C. Rivera. The training team used innovative methodologies such as interactive exercises and workshops wherein participants can ask questions freely and contribute their views and experiences.
